This demo shows how to create Harvey Balls in PowerPoint using native shapes — no add-ins required. You combine an Oval shape and a Pie shape to simulate the classic filled-circle progress indicator.
Steps
- Go to the Insert tab in PowerPoint.
- Click Shapes located in the Illustrations tab.
- Choose the Oval shape from the shapes panel.
- Hold Shift and draw a perfect circle on your slide.
- Fill the circle with black, gray, or any color using Shape Fill.
- Insert a Pie shape from the shapes menu.
- Resize the Pie shape to match the size of your circle.
- Adjust the pie by dragging the two yellow circles to set the fill amount.
