Inserting symbols in PowerPoint lets you add special characters — like arrows, currency signs, or decorative glyphs — directly into your slides. Use the built-in Symbol dialog box to browse fonts like Wingdings and place any character with just a few clicks.
Steps
- Click on your text to place the cursor where you want the symbol.
- Go to the Insert tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- Click Symbol on the far right of the Insert tab to open the Symbol dialog.
- In the dialog box, choose a font (e.g., Calibri, Arial, Wingdings) and select the symbol you want to insert.
- Click Insert to add the selected symbol to your slide.
- Click Close to dismiss the Symbol dialog box.
