- Open Cisco Packet Tracer.
- In the device selection box at the bottom of the window, add two routers and two PCs to the workspace.
- In the lower-left toolbar, click Connections, then connect PC1 to Router1, Router1 to Router2, and Router2 to PC2.
- Configure the IP addresses on the PCs and router interfaces so both routers are in the same transit network and each PC is in a different LAN.
- Click Router1, then open the CLI tab.
- In the CLI, enter the following commands in order, pressing Enter after each line, to enable RIPv2 and advertise Router1’s connected networks:
