Use this interactive demo to learn how to duplicate an existing page in WordPress step by step.

Quick summary

To clone a page in WordPress, you copy all blocks from an existing page and paste them into a new blank page, then publish the result. This method lets WordPress users duplicate page content quickly without plugins, using only the built-in block editor tools.

Steps

  1. Go to Pages and click the desired page you want to clone.
  2. Highlight the content of your page and click the ellipsis icon located at the upper right side of your page.
  3. Click 'Copy all blocks' to copy all page content to your clipboard.
  4. Confirm the success notification that pops up once the content has been successfully copied.
  5. Go back to your home dashboard and click 'Add new page' under Pages.
  6. Click 'Blank page' to create a fresh destination page.
  7. Press Ctrl+V to paste the copied content into your new page.
  8. Click 'Publish' once satisfied to make the cloned page live.

📌 Why this matters

Cloning a WordPress page saves time by letting site owners duplicate existing layouts and content without rebuilding from scratch. This is especially valuable for landing pages, campaign templates, or any repeating page structure where consistency matters. The built-in block editor copy method requires no third-party plugins, keeping your WordPress site lean and secure. Mastering this workflow helps content teams publish new pages faster while maintaining a consistent design across the site.
