How to Change the Theme in the Zendesk Chat Widget

Use this interactive demo to learn how to customize the theme of your Zendesk Chat widget.

This tutorial shows how to change the theme in the Zendesk Chat widget by navigating through Admin Center's Messaging settings and updating the Style tab color and launcher options. Admins can fully customize the chat widget's visual appearance — including frame colors and launcher settings — directly from the Zendesk Admin Center.


Steps

  1. On the Admin Center tab, go to the left-side panel and click 'Channels'.
  2. Select 'Messaging' under Messaging and Social.
  3. Browse the list of available Messaging channels and choose the web chat widget you wish to edit.
  4. Click the 'Style' tab afterwards.
  5. Scroll down to the Frame section and configure the color settings based on your preference.
  6. Calibrate the Launcher settings and make your preferred changes.
  7. Tap 'Save' to proceed.
  8. After completing these steps, the theme settings in your Zendesk Chat widget will be changed according to your inputs.
