Jira's email notification settings let you control exactly which project and issue updates trigger alerts, so your inbox only surfaces what matters. You can disable or adjust notifications per issue type directly from your Personal Settings in just a few clicks.
Steps
- Click on your avatar or profile icon in the top right corner.
- Select Personal settings from the dropdown menu.
- Go to Notification Settings and click Projects and issues to access email notification options.
- Adjust the notifications you receive for issues you're involved with — such as when an issue is assigned to you or when you comment on an issue — by toggling the slider.
- Disable or adjust specific notifications for individual issues or projects as needed.
- Your email notification preferences are now updated in Jira.
