How to Change Background in Clipchamp

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to change the background in Clipchamp.

1. Click Import media and upload an image or video.
2. Drag the clip onto the timeline.
3. Notice the empty space around the clip. This area uses the project’s background color.
4. Deselect the clip then click the Background color button above the preview window.
5. Select a new color to change the canvas background
6. You can also use an image as a background by dragging it below your main clip in the timeline.
7. Resize and reposition the images as you see fit.

Note: Clips placed below other clips appear behind them, making them useful as backgrounds.
