Starting a new research study with SurveyMonkey involves a series of clear steps to help you design, distribute, and analyze your survey. Here’s a structured approach to get you started:

  1. Once logged in, click on the 'Create Survey' button.
  2. You can start from scratch or choose a pre-made template.
  3. Select your preferred template.
  4. To confirm, click 'Use this template'.
  5. Use clear, unbiased language and avoid leading questions.
  6. Select a question type for your survey.
  7. Click 'Save'.
  8. You can set up conditional branching by clicking the 'Logic' option so participants see only the questions relevant to them based on their previous answers.
  9. Set your rule and condition.
  10. Once done, click 'Save'.
  11. Click the 'Preview survey' feature to experience the survey from a respondent’s perspective. Check for clarity and flow.
