How to Archive Epics in Jira

‍

Archiving epics in Jira ensures that your workspace remains organized and focused on current work. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the project that contains the epics that you want to archive.
  2. Go to Backlog and click 'View settings' located at the right upper corner of your issues.
  3. Under the 'View settings', enable the 'Epic panel' by clicking the slider.
  4. Once the epic panel has been enabled, open the epic by clicking 'View all details'.
  5. Change its status to 'Done'. This removes the epic from the active backlog and board views.
  6. By using these methods, you can effectively manage and archive epics in Jira, ensuring that only active and relevant work is visible to your team.
