By default, Microsoft Project treats Saturdays and Sundays as non-working days. You can change this by editing the project calendar.
- Let's start by clicking on the "Project" tab in the ribbon menu at the top of your Microsoft Project window.
- Now, select "Change Working Time" from the dropdown options. This is where we'll adjust the calendar settings.
- In the "Change Working Time" dialog box that appears, click on "Create New Calendar..." button.
- Give your new calendar a descriptive name and click "OK" to continue.
- Navigate to the "Work Weeks" tab in the dialog box. This is where we'll define which weekend days will become working days.
- Select the weekend day you want to add in the days list, then choose the "Set day(s) to these specific working times".
- Now, enter the working hours for your weekend days.
- Click "OK" to save your changes and return to your project. Your weekends are now officially working days in your project schedule!
