Here’s a simple and quick guide on how to add page numbers in Adobe InDesign:
- To add pages to your project, go to 'Pages' in the right-side menu of your workspace.
- Use the Master Page to create and duplicate your design, including any text, across the subsequent pages.
- On the left page of the Master Page, insert a text box. Right-click inside it, then select 'Insert Special Character' → 'Markers' → 'Page Number.'
- A special character will appear in the text box on the Master Page. Duplicate the text box on the opposite page to match it.
- Once done, you have successfully added page numbers to the subsequent pages. Review each page and adjust the Master Page as needed.
