Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect a Facebook Pixel to your WordPress site.

Quick summary

Adding a Facebook Pixel to WordPress lets you track visitor behavior and measure ad performance across your site. Using the Pixel Cat plugin, you can connect your Meta-created Pixel to WordPress in minutes — no code required.

Steps

  1. Log in to your Meta Business Suite account, navigate to the toolbar, and select "Settings."
  2. Click "Business Settings" from the settings menu.
  3. Scroll down and click "Datasets," then select "Add" to begin creating a new Pixel.
  4. Enter a name for your Pixel and click the "Create" button.
  5. Log in to your WordPress account, navigate to "Plugins," and click "Add New."
  6. Search for "Pixel Cat," install the plugin, then click the "Activate" button.
  7. After activation, click the "Pixel Cat" icon in the WordPress menu and select "Pixel Cat."
  8. Enter your Pixel ID by copying it from the Facebook Pixel you just created, then click "Save."
  9. Select the "E-commerce" tab and toggle on the Facebook Pixel you created.
  10. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save All Settings."
  11. Click "Add Facebook Event" to configure event tracking.
  12. Select "Pages," choose "All Pages" from the dropdown menu, then click "Save."
  13. Click "Save All Settings" to complete the setup — your Facebook Pixel is now active on your WordPress site.

📌 Why this matters

Installing a Facebook Pixel on your WordPress site is essential for any business running paid social campaigns on Meta platforms. The Pixel tracks key user actions — such as page views, purchases, and sign-ups — giving advertisers the conversion data they need to optimize ad targeting and measure return on ad spend. Without the Pixel in place, WordPress site owners are flying blind, unable to build retargeting audiences or attribute revenue back to Facebook and Instagram ads. This demo shows the fastest no-code method to get the Pixel live using the Pixel Cat plugin, making it accessible even for non-technical WordPress users.
