Here’s how to do it:
- Open your Microsoft Project account and navigate to the 'View' tab.
- In the 'Resource View's group, select 'Resource Sheet'.
- In an empty cell under 'Resource Name' type a new resource.
- Under the 'Type' column, click the drop down menu.
- Then, select 'Cost' to add it into your Microsoft Project.
- Once you have added the cost click on 'Gantt Chart' view to assign a task to your cost.
- Select the task and click 'Details'.
- In the Task Details Form, choose a 'Resource Name' and define the 'Cost'.
- Click 'OK' to save the changes.
