Adding a checkbox custom field in Jira lets teams capture structured, boolean-style data directly on issue screens. This is done through Jira Settings by creating a new custom field of type Checkboxes under the Issues configuration.
Steps
- Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner of your Jira workspace.
- Select Issues from the Settings dropdown menu.
- Navigate to Custom fields in the left-hand pane.
- Click Create custom field in the top-right corner of the Custom fields page.
- Choose Checkboxes as the field type from the available options.
- Enter a Name, add the Options you want to display, then click Create to save the new checkbox field.
