How to Add Captions in Descript

Steps

1. Import your media into a Descript project by clicking the «+» button and selecting «Import».
2. Edit captions for accuracy and timing to match your audio or video content.
3. Click Captions on the right side of the window to open the captions panel.
4. Adjust caption appearance — including style and positioning — to suit your needs.
5. Customize font, size, effects, and animation by clicking directly on the caption in the editor.
6. Once done, click Publish to save and export your captioned video.
