A Drill Through in Power BI lets you create a dedicated report page that surfaces detailed data when users right-click a data point in any visual. Setting it up requires selecting a field from the Data pane and dragging it into the Drill Through section of the Visualizations pane.
Steps
- In the Data pane, click the table that contains the field you want to use for the drill-through target.
- Select your preferred field and drag it into the Drill Through section in the Visualizations pane.
- Open the Filter menu and select one of the available filter options.
- Tick the checkbox next to the dataset you want to apply to the drill-through filter.
- Once all steps are complete, the Drill Through is added to your Power BI report based on your configuration.
