How Can I Change Default List Format For Pipedrive Team

Use this interactive demo to learn how to share a custom list view with your Pipedrive team.

Quick summary

In Pipedrive, you cannot change the default list format for your entire team, but you can share a saved filter that includes your preferred columns so teammates can apply the same view instantly.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the type of items you want to share a view for — note that the default list format cannot be changed team-wide, but a shared filter achieves the same result.
  2. Go to the List view of your items, located at the top left for Deals.
  3. Open the filters menu using the top-right button that shows the filter icon and the current filter name.
  4. Go to the Filters tab inside the filters menu.
  5. Either create a new filter or open the options for an existing filter from the list.
  6. Set the filter visibility to Shared so your team can access it.
  7. Check the Save selected columns box to include your current column layout with the filter.
  8. Click Save to apply and store the filter with your chosen columns.
  9. Instruct teammates to open their own filter menu and select the same shared filter to view identical items and columns.
  10. Teammates can now select the shared filter to see the exact same list view as you.

📌 Why this matters

Pipedrive does not offer a native setting to change the default list format across a team account, which can cause inconsistent pipeline views and missed data. By creating and sharing a saved filter with column preferences included, sales managers can standardize the deal list view their entire team sees without requiring admin-level configuration changes. This approach gives teams a practical, immediate workaround to align on the same Pipedrive list columns and filter criteria, improving visibility and reporting consistency. For any sales team relying on Pipedrive for deal management, shared filters are a critical feature for maintaining a unified workflow.
