Quick summary
This demo shows how to connect a Notion database to Google Forms using a Zapier automation, so that new or updated database items are automatically passed as form responses. By mapping Notion fields to Google Form fields, teams can eliminate manual data entry and keep their tools in sync without writing any code.
Steps
- Log in to Zapier, click "Create," and select "Zaps" to begin building your automation.
- Click "Trigger" and search for Notion to select it as the trigger app.
- Choose a trigger event — such as New Database Item or Updated Database Item — depending on when you want data sent to Google Forms.
- Authorize Zapier to access your Notion account by connecting your credentials.
- Select the specific Notion database you want to pull information from.
- Run a test to confirm Zapier correctly detects new or updated items in your Notion database.
- Add Google Forms as the action app in the next step of your Zap.
- Choose an action event to define what happens in Google Forms when the trigger fires.
- Authorize Zapier to access your Google account by connecting your credentials.
- Map Notion database fields to the corresponding Google Form fields to ensure data transfers correctly.
- Run a test to confirm that data from Notion is correctly passed to Google Forms.
- Once the test is successful, turn on your Zap to activate the automated data transfer.
