Steps

  1. Navigate to Google Forms at https://forms.google.com to open your form.
  2. Click on the Responses tab to access all collected response data.
  3. Review the summary statistics displayed for all questions on the responses overview page.
  4. Scroll down the page to view a detailed summary for each individual question.
  5. Select the Question tab to filter and see responses broken down by each specific question.
  6. Switch to Individual responses to examine every unique respondent's answers separately.
  7. Click the Link to Google Sheets icon to export your form data for in-depth analysis.
  8. Select Create a new spreadsheet and click Create to generate a linked sheet.
  9. Use Google Sheets features to analyze data, create charts, and generate actionable insights.

📌 Why this matters

Understanding how to access and analyze Google Forms analytics is essential for anyone collecting survey or feedback data. The Responses tab provides instant summary statistics and per-question breakdowns, eliminating the need for manual data compilation. Linking form responses directly to Google Sheets unlocks advanced analysis, pivot tables, and visualization tools that turn raw answers into actionable insights. This workflow is critical for educators, marketers, and operations teams who rely on form data to make informed decisions.
