How To Use Google Analytics for Website

Follow these step by step to learn how to use Google Analytics for your website:

1. Head over to Create and select Account under the Admin tab.
2. Fill in the required information like Account name, Website name, Website URL.
3. Select the appropriate data sharing checkboxes and hit Next.
4. Fill in Property name, Reporting time zone, Currency and hit Next.
5. Select Industry category, Business size and hit Next, (We will go with small business for this example)
6. Select your core objectives and hit Next. (Your objective could be to Raise Brand awareness, Lead generation or Understand User Behaviour etc.)
7. Accept the Data Processing Terms.
8. Hit I Accept on the next page as well.
9. Click on Get tagging instruction and click on View tag instructions.
10. Select Install manually tab and copy the code snippet.
11. Paste it into the header section of your website - Add the code snippet just before the closing </head> tag.
