Basically, Airtable itself functions as a database. Here’s a short tutorial on how to set it up accordingly:
- On Airtable's main dashboard, go to the left-side panel and click 'Create'.
- Choose 'Build an App on Your Own' from the available options.
- After that, a new base will be created and added to your Airtable account. You can now customize it as your database. Click the Base menu to get started.
- Come up with a unique base name, then enter it into the provided input field.
- Subsequently, set your preferred base color and icon under the Appearance section.
- Now, it's time to encode the data. First, configure the default fields. Simply click the drop-down arrow next to them to edit the field properties based on your preference.
- If you need more, click the 'Add Field' button.
- Once the fields are ready, encode the data individually into their respective fields.
- On the one hand, you may click 'Add or Import' if you have data ready for import.
- You can automatically create and update records in your Airtable database. To do that, simply go to the 'Automations' tab and use the available options to implement your desired workflow.
- Finally, you can now share your Airtable database with your team members. Simply tap the 'Share' button in the top-right corner to proceed.
