- Open the Passwords app or Safari on your Mac. Click File in the menu bar, then select Export > Passwords. Enter your Mac login password when prompted. Save the exported CSV file to your desktop.
- Go to 1password.com in your browser and sign in to your account. Alternatively, click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar to sign in.
- Click your account name in the top-right corner of the page, then select Import Data from the dropdown.
- On the Import Data page, select iCloud Keychain or Safari from the list of apps.
- Read the reminders carefully, select the vault you want to import your passwords into, for example, Personal or Private, then click Continue until you reach the Upload tab.
- Drag your CSV file into the upload area, or click Select a File From Your Computer to browse for it, then click Continue.
- Your passwords are now available across all your 1Password apps and browser extensions. Review the import summary to confirm how many items were added. Go back to your computer and permanently delete the CSV file.
