This tutorial shows how to sync YouTube Analytics with Google Sheets using a Zapier automation that triggers every time a new video is uploaded to your channel. Once set up, selected YouTube analytics data is automatically recorded as a new spreadsheet row — no manual data entry required.
Steps
- Go to the left-side panel and click Create.
- Select Zaps from the list of options.
- Tap the Trigger tab to start the integration process.
- Search for YouTube and choose it from the suggested results.
- Click the Trigger Event menu to view available options.
- Choose New Video in Channel as the trigger event.
- Click Sign In and log into your YouTube account.
- Click Allow to accept the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
- Enter the name of the YouTube channel you want to track.
- Click Continue to run your input and test the Trigger.
- Click Continue one more time to proceed to the Action setup.
- Search for Google Sheets and select it as the Action app.
- Tap the Action Event menu to explore available options.
- Select Create Spreadsheet Row or Create Spreadsheet Column.
- Click Sign In and log into your Google account.
- Click Allow to grant the necessary permissions for Google Sheets access.
- Fill out the input fields for Google Drive, Spreadsheet, and Worksheet.
- Choose the column where you want to add a new row and click the Add icon beside it.
- Select the specific YouTube analytics data you want to monitor; repeat for additional fields.
- Click Continue to publish and enable the integration.
- The selected YouTube channel's analytics are now synced to Google Sheets automatically each time a new video is uploaded.
