This tutorial shows how to create a Zap that automatically syncs Netlify deploys to Discord, so your team receives real-time deploy notifications without any manual effort. By connecting Netlify as the Trigger and Discord as the Action, every new deploy instantly posts a message to your chosen Discord server.
Steps
- Go to the left-side panel and click Create.
- Select Zaps from the list of options.
- Click the Trigger tab to start the integration process.
- Search for Netlify and choose it from the suggested results.
- Click the Trigger Event menu to view the available options.
- Select New Deploy Started from the list of trigger events.
- Click Sign In and log into your active Netlify account.
- Click Authorize to grant the necessary permissions.
- Specify the Netlify site you wish to monitor.
- Click Continue to run your input and test the Trigger.
- Select the deploy record you wish to sync and click Continue With Selected Record.
- Search for Discord and select it as the Action app.
- Open the drop-down menu and choose the Action Event you want to execute.
- Click Sign In and log into your Discord account.
- Choose the Discord Server you wish to use and click Continue.
- Tick the checkboxes beside the permissions you want to grant, then click Authorize.
- Fill out all input fields with the required integration details one by one.
- Click Continue to publish and enable the integration.
- Your Netlify deploys will now be automatically synced to Discord based on your configuration.
