This tutorial walks you through building a Zapier automation that syncs Canny feedback comments directly to a Slack channel in real time. By connecting Canny as the trigger app and Slack as the action app, teams can stay instantly notified of new customer feedback without switching tools.
Steps
- Navigate to the left-side panel and click Create to start building a new Zap.
- Select Zaps from the list of options in the menu.
- Click the Trigger tab to begin setting up the integration trigger.
- Search for Canny and select it from the suggested results as your trigger app.
- Click the Trigger Event menu to view the available trigger options.
- Pick New Comment from the list of trigger event options.
- Click Sign In to connect your Canny account.
- Enter your Canny API key and click Yes, Continue to Canny to authenticate.
- Specify the Canny Board that contains the feedback you want to sync.
- Click Continue to run your input and test the Trigger.
- Select the specific record you want to sync, then click Continue With Selected Record.
- Search for Slack and choose it as the Action app.
- Click the Action Event menu to choose what Slack action to perform.
- Pick Add Reminder or another action that fits your preferred integration structure.
- Click Sign In and log into your active Slack account.
- Click Allow to accept the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
- Fill out the input fields with the required information for the integration one by one.
- For the Text field, tap the corresponding Add icon to map data from Canny.
- Select the comment value you want to sync to Slack.
- Click Continue to publish and enable the integration.
- The Canny feedback will now be automatically synced to Slack based on your configuration.
