How to Sum in Airtable

Quick summary

Airtable's built-in summary bar lets you instantly sum any numeric column or row without writing a formula. You can also switch to other aggregate functions like Average or Median directly from the same bar.

Steps

1. Select the column or row whose sum you want to calculate.
2. View the sum result displayed in the bottom summary row beneath the table.
3. Click the summary bar to explore other aggregate functions such as Average and Median.
