How to Stop LinkedIn from Notifying your Network of Changes

Use this interactive demo to learn how to keep your LinkedIn profile updates private from your network.

This demo shows how to disable LinkedIn network notifications when making profile changes, so your connections won't see every update you make. You can turn off activity broadcasts globally in Settings or suppress them individually each time you edit a section.


Steps

  1. Click your profile icon on the top menu of your LinkedIn dashboard.
  2. Select Settings & Privacy from the dropdown menu.
  3. Under Visibility settings, navigate to Visibility of your LinkedIn activity and click Share job changes, etc.
  4. Switch OFF the toggle button to stop sharing your profile updates with your network.
  5. Alternatively, switch off updates directly whenever you add or modify a section on your profile.
  6. Click Save to apply and confirm your changes.
