Quick summary
Sharing an Asana project with a client lets you give them controlled, view-only access so they can track progress without editing tasks. Using the built-in Share feature, you can invite clients by email and notify them instantly in just a few clicks.
Steps
- Navigate to Projects in your Asana sidebar to open your project list.
- Click the Share button at the top right of the project to open the sharing panel.
- Invite the client by entering their details through the email invitation field.
- Enter the client's email address and set their permission level to Viewers to restrict editing access.
- Check the notification checkbox to make sure the client receives an email alert about the invitation.
- Click Send to dispatch the invitation to the client.
- Confirm the share was successful when a confirmation notification pops up indicating the invitation has been sent.
