This tutorial shows how to build a Zap that automatically pushes new Productboard ideas to a Discord channel using Zapier's no-code automation editor. By connecting Productboard as the trigger and Discord as the action, product teams can instantly notify their community or team whenever a new note is created.
Steps
- Head over to the left-side panel and click Create.
- Choose Zaps from the list of options.
- Tap the Trigger tab to start the integration process.
- Search for Productboard and select it from the suggested results.
- Click the Trigger Event menu to view the available options.
- Choose New Note from the list of trigger events.
- Tap Sign In to connect your Productboard account.
- Enter your Project Name in the provided input fields, then tap Yes, Continue to Productboard and log into your Productboard account.
- Tap Authorize to accept the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
- Click Test Trigger to run your input and verify the connection.
- Select the record containing the ideas you want to push, then click Continue With Selected Record.
- Search for Discord and select it as the Action app.
- Click the Action Event menu to proceed.
- Choose Send Channel Message from the given choices.
- Click Sign In and log into your active Discord account.
- Choose the specific Discord server you wish to use, then click Continue.
- Tick the checkboxes beside the permissions you wish to allow, then click Authorize.
- Fill out the input fields with the required integration details one by one.
- For the Message Text field, click its corresponding Add icon.
- Select Content from the list of options to map the message data.
- Tap Continue to publish and enable the integration.
- Your Productboard ideas will now be automatically pushed to Discord based on your configuration.
