Quick summary
This demo shows how to build a Zap that automatically sends GitHub Gists to Discord using Zapier's no-code workflow editor, connecting your GitHub account as the trigger and Discord as the action app.
Steps
- Navigate to the left-side panel and click 'Create'.
- Select 'Zaps' from the list of options.
- Click the 'Trigger' tab to start the integration process.
- Search for 'GitHub' and choose it from the suggested results.
- Tap the 'Trigger Event' menu to view the available options.
- Pick 'New Gist' from the list of trigger events.
- Tap 'Sign In' and log into your active GitHub account.
- Click 'Continue' to proceed.
- Specify the GitHub Gist you wish to push, then tap 'Continue' to test the trigger.
- Confirm the record you prefer to use and click 'Continue With Selected Record'.
- Search for 'Discord' and select it as the Action app.
- Tap the drop-down menu and choose the 'Action Event' you wish to use.
- Click 'Sign In' and log into your Discord account.
- Choose the Discord Server you wish to use and click 'Continue'.
- Select the permissions you wish to grant, then click 'Authorize'.
- Fill out the input fields with the required integration information.
- Tap 'Continue' to publish and enable the integration.
- Your GitHub Gists will now be automatically pushed to Discord based on your configuration.
