Moving files between SharePoint sites is done using the built-in Move To feature, accessible directly from a document library. This process requires no third-party tools and keeps your file structure organized across multiple SharePoint sites.
Steps
- From the SharePoint dashboard, go to the left-side panel and click the document library that contains the file you want to move.
- Hover over the file and click the More Actions button that appears.
- Select Move To from the dropdown list of options.
- Choose the destination SharePoint site where you want to move the file, then click Move Here to confirm.
- The selected file will be successfully moved to the other SharePoint site.
