How to Move a Subtask in Asana

Here’s a step by step tutorial on how to move a subtask in Asana:

  1. Go to the 'Project' menu.
  2. Click the task that has a subtask.
  3. Click and drag the subtask away from the parent task and put it on the TO DO list.
  4. You can find the subtask in your TO DO list and click on it.
  5. You will be directed to the task pane, click the ellipsis icon.
  6. Go to the 'Convert to' button.
  7. Select 'Subtask'.
  8. Choose from the task that you want to assign the subtask to.
  9. To make sure the subtask was assigned to your preferred task, click the task.
  10. View the task pane and scroll down below, there you can find the subtask under the main task.
