📌 Why this matters
Why this matters
YouTube is now one of the most popular podcast listening platforms, and creators who publish their podcast as a properly configured YouTube podcast - rather than just uploading episodes as regular videos - benefit from dedicated discovery surfaces that standard videos do not appear in. Setting up the podcast playlist correctly from the first episode ensures every upload is indexed and surfaced as podcast content rather than general video content. For businesses running thought leadership shows, interview series, or industry commentary, YouTube Podcasts adds a distribution channel that reaches audiences who prefer video or audio-on-demand without requiring a separate podcast hosting setup.
