Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Canva directly inside your Buffer workflow.

Quick summary

The Canva and Buffer integration lets you design visuals in Canva and attach them to social posts without leaving Buffer. This walkthrough covers every step needed to create a post, launch Canva, pick a design, and save it to your Buffer queue.

Steps

  1. In your Buffer dashboard, click on "Create Post" to open the post composer.
  2. Select a post by clicking "+ New Idea" to start a new content idea.
  3. Enter the title and body of your new post in the text fields provided.
  4. Click on the "Add Image/Video" button to attach visual content to your post.
  5. Select "Canva" from the media source options presented.
  6. You will be redirected to Canva, where you can pick a design or template to add to your Buffer post.
  7. Once your design is ready, select "Add to Buffer" to send it back to your post.
  8. Click "Save Idea" to store the post with your Canva design in Buffer.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Canva with Buffer eliminates the friction of switching between a design tool and a social media scheduling platform, letting teams produce and publish branded visual content faster. Marketers who connect Canva to Buffer can pull polished templates directly into their post composer, reducing the time from design to scheduled post to just a few clicks. This integration is especially valuable for small teams and solo creators who need professional-quality graphics without a dedicated design workflow. By keeping content creation and social media scheduling inside a single, connected workflow, Buffer with Canva helps brands maintain visual consistency across every channel.
