Steps
- Go to youtube.com and click Explore in the left sidebar, then browse the News or Learning tabs to see what is currently trending across the platform.
- Note relevant topics or formats in the trending list, and look for patterns in titles, thumbnails, and video length among top results.
- For category-specific trends, go to studio.youtube.com, click Analytics, then select the Trends tab.
- Type a topic in the search bar to see what viewers are searching for, including search volume indicators.
- Look for high-demand topics you haven't covered — these highlight content gaps.
- Use these keywords and insights to plan videos, focusing on high search volume and lower competition.
