📌 Why this matters
Why this matters
Exporting your vault lets you migrate to a different password manager, create secure backups, or comply with data portability requirements. Beyond the obvious use cases, exported data becomes crucial during account recovery emergencies when you're locked out but still have local access, or when forensic analysis is needed for security audits. Many organizations also require exportable credential data for compliance documentation. The ability to extract your passwords in standardized formats gives you true ownership of your digital identity, ensuring you're never permanently locked into any single platform or service.
