How to Enable Privacy Mode in Cursor

You can enable Privacy Mode directly from your Cursor account dashboard on the web. Privacy Mode ensures that your code is not used for training and is not stored by model providers.

1. Open your Cursor Account by going to cursor.com and signing in to your account.
2. From your main dashboard, locate the Settings option on the left sidebar and click on it.
3. At the top of the Settings page, find the Privacy section and click the Edit button.
4. Locate the Data Sharing option within the privacy settings, and click on the Privacy Mode.
5. Type the words "Privacy Mode" in the confirmation field to confirm changes, and click Done.‍
6. Privacy Mode is active—your protected code never leaves your machine
