How to Do Advanced Search in Jira

Advanced search in Jira allows you to create complex queries using JQL (Jira Query Language) to find specific issues based on various criteria. Here's how you can perform an advanced search in Jira:

  1. In Jira, click on the search bar at the top of the screen.
  2. Click on 'View all issues' from the dropdown menu.
  3. If you're in the basic search mode switch to advanced mode by clicking 'JQL'.
  4. In advanced mode, you can directly type JQL (Jira Query Language) queries to filter issues.
  5. After creating your JQL query, click 'Save filter' above the search results.
  6. Give your search a name and click 'Save' to save it.
  7. After saving, you can share the search by copying the link which allows you to share with specific users or groups.
