Quick summary
To delete a test case in Jira, you must first archive it via Zephyr Scale and then permanently delete it from the Archived test cases section using the Dependency Check flow. This two-step process ensures no linked test data is removed accidentally.
Steps
- Go to your desired Jira project and select Zephyr Scale from the left-side main menu.
- Select a test case by clicking the empty checkbox next to it.
- Select Archive from the toolbar options above the test case list.
- When the confirmation dialog appears, click Archive to confirm the action.
- Navigate to your Archived test cases section in Zephyr Scale.
- Select the archived test case by clicking the empty checkbox next to it.
- Click the Delete tab located above the Zephyr toolbar.
- After clicking Delete, complete the Dependency Check step by clicking Next.
- Click Delete to permanently delete the test case.
- Once the deletion is complete, click Next to proceed.
- Click Done to confirm the process has been successfully completed.
