This tutorial shows you how to create a webhook trigger in Coda by adding a Trigger Hook button to your doc and connecting it to an external automation URL. In just a few steps, you can fire webhook-invoked workflows directly from a Coda document without writing any code.
Steps
- Inside your Coda doc, head to the top-right corner and click Insert.
- Click the search bar and type Trigger Hook to find the component.
- Scroll to the Button section, select the Trigger Hook option, and drag it into your main workspace.
- Tap Connect an Account to link your Coda account to the webhook integration.
- Enter your preferred API Token Name in the input field, then click Continue.
- Tap the URL input field and paste the URL from your webhook-invoked automation.
- Click anywhere in your Coda doc to apply the changes.
- The Trigger Hook button is now active — tap it anytime to fire your Coda webhook.
