How to Create Jira Ticket from Slack
Here's how to do it:
- Log in to your Slack account and go to "Apps."
- Select "Manage" and click "Browse apps."
- Search for "Jira" and select "Add" on "Jira Cloud."
- Click "Add to Slack" to proceed.
- Select "Allow" to grant access.
- Your slack email may be different from your Atlassian email. Click "proceed" to continue.
- Select "Go to Slack" to be redirected.
- Type in "/jira create" to create a ticket then hit "Enter."
- Select a project and issue type by clicking the dropdown.
- Customize the fields accordingly, such as summary, description, assignee, etc.
- Once done, click "Submit." The app will send a confirmation message in Slack, and the ticket will be created in Jira.
