Quick summary
Linear's issue creation workflow lets teams quickly log, prioritize, and assign work items directly from the sidebar. Each new issue can be given a title, description, status, priority, assignee, and project before being saved to the team's backlog.
Steps
- Click the My Issues button in the sidebar to open your issue view.
- Give your issue a clear, descriptive title.
- Add details about the issue in the description field.
- Choose an initial status for the issue.
- Set the priority level to reflect urgency.
- Assign the issue to a team member responsible for it.
- Add the issue to the relevant project.
- Click Create issue to save it.
- Once created, the issue will appear in your team's issue list or backlog.
