How to Create a Workstream in Jira

‍

Epics are large bodies of work that can be broken down into smaller tasks.  You can treat an Epic as a Workstream. Here’s how you can create and manage a workstream in Jira:

  1. Click on 'Create' in the top menu.
  2. In the 'Issue Type' dropdown, select 'Epic'.
  3. Click 'Create'.
  4. Click 'Link issue' to link existing issues (stories, tasks, bugs, etc.) to this Epic. So that all issues related to the workstream are grouped under the Epic.
  5. Click 'Reports'.
  6. Select 'Epic Report'.
  7. Select 'epic workstream.'
  8. You can now track the progress of the workstream. While Jira doesn’t have a built-in 'Workstream' feature, you can effectively create and manage work streams using Epics.
