Use this interactive demo to learn how to convert PDF files to Excel spreadsheets in Adobe Acrobat.

‍

‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to convert a PDF to Excel in Adobe Acrobat

‍

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat and open the PDF file you want to convert.
  2. On the right side pane, click Export PDF.
  3. Select Spreadsheet, then select Microsoft Excel Workbook.
  4. Click the Export button.
  5. In the save dialog, select a folder where you want to save the file.
  6. Type a filename and Click Save.

📌 Why this matters

Converting PDF to Excel transforms static data into something you can actually work with - sorting, filtering, calculating, and analyzing numbers that were previously locked in document format. Beyond basic data extraction, this process preserves table structures and formatting, saving hours of manual retyping.

You can then integrate the data with other spreadsheets, create pivot tables, or feed it into business intelligence tools. This becomes especially valuable when dealing with financial reports, survey results, or any structured data that needs to become part of your broader data workflow.
