Use this interactive demo to learn how to link Search Console to your Google Analytics property.

Quick summary

Connecting Google Search Console to Google Analytics (GA4) lets you see organic search performance data — including queries and impressions — directly inside your Analytics reports. Once linked, you can publish the Search Console collection to your Reports Library to make the data immediately accessible to your team.

Steps

  1. Go to Admin on the left pane.
  2. Under Product links, click on Search Console links.
  3. Click on the Link button.
  4. Click on Choose accounts.
  5. Hit Add a property.
  6. Use the search bar to find your property.
  7. After selecting your property, hit Next.
  8. Click on Select to select a web stream.
  9. Click on the Submit button.
  10. Confirm the LINK CREATED success message.
  11. Go back to the main screen and navigate to Reports > Library.
  12. Find Search Console under Collections, click the three dots, then click Publish.

📌 Why this matters

Linking Google Search Console to Google Analytics (GA4) is essential for any team that wants to understand how organic search drives website behavior. Without this connection, keyword-level data — including top queries, impressions, and click-through rates — remains siloed in Search Console and cannot be analyzed alongside on-site engagement metrics. By completing this integration and publishing the Search Console collection, marketers and SEO professionals gain a unified view of the full user journey from search result to conversion, enabling smarter content and channel decisions.
