Use this interactive demo to learn how to combine multiple PDF files into a single document in Adobe Acrobat.

‍

‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to combine pdf files in Adobe Acrobat.

‍

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat.
  2. On the top menu, click Combine Files.
  3. Click Add Files, select the PDF files you want to combine, then click Open.
  4. Click the Expand Pages icon to preview individual pages.
  5. Drag and drop files or pages to rearrange them in the order you want.
  6. Click Combine to create the merged PDF.
  7. Save the combined file, then close the tool when you’re done.

📌 Why this matters

Combining PDFs transforms scattered documents into organized, shareable packages. You can merge contracts with supporting materials, compile research papers with appendices, or bundle invoices with receipts for streamlined record-keeping.

Beyond simple file management, merged PDFs maintain consistent formatting across different document types and sources, ensuring professional presentation. This becomes particularly valuable when collaborating with others who need complete information in one accessible file, eliminating the back-and-forth of multiple attachments and reducing the risk of missing critical documents.
