Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to close an issue in Jira:

  1. To close a request in Jira Service Management, go to Queues from your service project. 
  2. Select the Status field in the issue you want to close.
  3. Mark as Done. (Resolved)
  4. Provide resolution details. Like: “Done”, or “won't do”, etc. Also provide Linked Issues parameter and specify the linked issue.
  5. Add comments for your team or the customer. Hit Mark as done.
  6. Your issue is now closed.
