How to Automate Emails in HubSpot

Use this interactive demo to learn how to set up automated email workflows in HubSpot.

Quick summary

HubSpot email automation lets you create workflow-based sequences that send targeted emails automatically based on contact actions. By setting up triggers and actions inside the Automation tab, you can deliver confirmation emails, thank-you messages, and follow-ups without manual effort.


Steps

  1. Go to HubSpot emails and navigate to the Automation tab.
  2. Click the Create a new workflow button to start building your sequence.
  3. Choose a trigger that will start the automation sequence.
  4. Design your automation by adding actions using the + sign in the workflow builder.
  5. Select an action such as sending an email on a link click to define what happens next.
  6. Find the send email action under the Communications column.
  7. Configure the automated email to send messages like a thank you mail or confirmation mail.
  8. Click Review and send to finalize and activate your automation.
