Google Slides includes a built-in pen tool that lets presenters annotate slides in real time during a slideshow. You can activate it from the three-dots menu, change the pen color, erase markings, and turn off the pen when finished.
Steps
- Open your presentation in Google Slides.
- In the top right corner, click Slideshow to start presenting.
- In the bottom left corner, click the three-dots menu.
- Click Turn on the pen to enable the annotation tool.
- To change the pen color, click the Pen tool and choose a color.
- To clear markings, click Erase, then Erase all to remove all annotations on the current slide.
- To stop annotating, open the three-dots menu again and click Turn off the pen.
