Steps

1. Confirm you have earned the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute before making any profile changes.
2. If you have not yet earned it, click 'Certifications' on the PMI site, choose a course, complete it, and earn your certificate.
3. Go to your LinkedIn profile page and click the 'pencil icon' below your banner to edit your profile.
4. In the last name field, add 'PMP' at the end of your surname.
5. Click 'Save' to apply the name change.
6. Click the 'Add section' button below your profile name and photo.
7. Under Recommended, select 'Add licenses & certifications'.
8. In the name field, choose 'Project Management Professional (PMP)' and in the issuing organization field select 'Project Management Institute'.
